Rave Summit isn't just a great opportunity to learn about new safety developments and best practices in your industry. It's also a great chance to explore beautiful Orlando, FL. Here are some great local destinations to check out when you (or your guest) need a break from all the #RaveSummit action.
1. Lounge by the Pools
We Massachusettsians know how harsh the winters can be. Trust us when we say we’ll be thawing out and relaxing by one of the two pools.
2. Be sure to mingle at our two networking events (right in the hotel!)
While the whole event is great for networking, there will be two specific events to connect you with others. This is a great opportunity to mingle with peers and current customers who can provide first hand experience with a Rave product. Connect with attendees from across the country and within your industry. Be sure to check out the themed nights. Check out our arcade night from Summit 2017 in Atlanta!
3. Family Center and Babysitting
Check out the Family Center, located in the hotel lobby, complete with board games, coloring pages, crafts, movies, Wii, and arcade games. Contact us for details on daytime babysitting!
4. SeaWorld (10 min walk)
Take advantage of SeaWorld being within walking distance to enjoy some time at the theme park for the rides and shows. From aquariums to dolphin shows to roller coasters, SeaWorld has something for everyone. If you’re a fan of rollercoasters, be sure to check out Manta a ride that has you diving deep and flying high.
5. Shopping and Dining at the Pointe Orlando (6 min drive)
Enjoy a little shopping and some dining at the Pointe Orlando. Go out for a late night Ben and Jerry’s or take in the warm Orlando air walking through the open mall. Stop by WonderWorks for a magical dinner or a glow in the dark ropes course! The Improv Comedy Club & Fat Fish Blue is also worth the look too.
6. Discovery Cove (7 min drive)
Swim with dolphins, snorkel with fish and stingrays, and feed tropical birds from your hand at Discovery Cove. This nice break will bring you right under the sea in Orlando.
7. Madame Tussauds Orlando (8 min drive)
Get your picture with rockstars, movie stars, athletes, and presidents! The famous Madame Tussaud starting making wax sculptures when she was just a child. She was asked to make wax molds of many people after their executions by Robespierre. Madam Tussaud made a mold of everyone from Princess de Lamballe to Louis XVI. Her works were first displayed in a small London shop in 1835. In 1837 Queen Victoria had Madame Tussaud create a replica of herself complete with a copy of her coronation dress which became the center of the exhibit. See if your favorite celebrity is there!
8. Titanic: the Artifact Exhibit (12 min drive)
From the look-a-like halls to the artifacts recovered from the bottom of the Atlantic, you might just think you’re on the RMS Titanic. The careful preservation of the findings have contributed to a greater understanding of the events that occured on the night of April 14, 1912. Find out the history behind the pieces of the Titanic right in Orlando.
9. Universal Studios (15 min drive)
From the Wizarding World of Harry Potter to the Incredible Hulk to Dr. Suess, Universal Studios caters to people of all ages. Universal Studios has two amusement parks and a waterpark that promise a magical experience. It’s a perfect place to soak in the last rays of the Orlando sun!
Rave Summit is a fantastic chance to learn, network, and create meaningful relationships with top public safety professionals. We’re especially excited about this year’s evening networking events, which will bring together customers, industry leaders, and Rave gurus. You’ll get to hear case studies across industries, departments, and geographies.
