FRAMINGHAM, Mass., July 23, 2019 (Business Wire) — Rave Mobile Safety (Rave), the trusted provider of emergency and public safety solutions that help save lives, today announced the newest enhancement to its school safety platform, which allows schools to unite school safety technologies directly from Rave Panic Button, the most widely used school safety app in the United States. This integration capability gives schools the cross-platform communication they need to truly protect their communities while creating interoperability across current and future school safety investments.
“This integration enables the immediate and coordinated activation of all safety solutions an organization has, helping our customers achieve their end goal: keeping their constituents safe.”
Schools are investing an estimated $2.7 billion into their safety ecosystems—but if those systems are not connected, schools will still often suffer from an uncoordinated response in an emergency. This new enhancement helps schools realize the full potential of having an integrated platform that enables connections to access control, video, electronic signage and mass notification, among others. By improving interoperability between systems, schools benefit from faster emergency response times and improved communication with affected personnel, students and parents both on and off site.
Rave’s platform also creates interoperability between public safety and school systems. While first responders play a critical role in emergency responses, many schools do not involve public safety agencies in their incident planning, resulting in disjointed response plans, technology that is not effective or the inability to communicate across jurisdictions. In addition to a school’s internal systems, triggering Rave Panic Button creates a direct link and voice call with 9-1-1, activating a response more quickly and giving first responders access to important on-site information.
“Organizations invest in a variety of safety solutions because they know the importance of a swift, coordinated response to a crisis. If those systems are not connected in an efficient way, delays and confusion are introduced, further complicating the problem at hand,” said Matthew Serra, vice president of product strategy at Rave Mobile Safety. “This integration enables the immediate and coordinated activation of all safety solutions an organization has, helping our customers achieve their end goal: keeping their constituents safe.”
This integration is now available, and demos can be scheduled via Rave’s website. Demonstrations of Rave Panic Button will be held at Rave’s booth (#115) at the National School Safety Conference & Exposition on July 22-26, 2019 at the Tropicana Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rave will also be speaking on July 24 at 2:30 p.m. in the Trinidad Pavilion about Addressing Communication Gaps for Stronger School Safety.
