FRAMINGHAM, Mass.— December 1, 2021 — Rave Mobile Safety (Rave), the leading provider of the critical communication and collaboration platform more than 8,000 customers count on when it matters most, today announced a strong quarter of growth and impact in improving safety for those protected by Rave’s customers in public safety, emergency management, corporate security and school safety. In Q3, 268 new customers deployed the Rave platform to enhance response to natural disasters, domestic violence, mental health crises and school safety.

Over 13 million timely messages were sent by NOLA Ready, powered by Rave, in support of the Hurricane Ida response in New Orleans. Rave public safety solutions also assisted in advising residents on how to prepare for public evacuation warnings during recent wildfires across the country.

Rave Platform selected by hundreds of public safety agencies to protect their communities

Among the hundreds of new customers, there were a large number of clients moving off legacy mass notification systems. Falmouth, Mass. and Isabella County, Mich. migrated to Rave’s critical communications solution because of the robust and rich feature set available in the Rave Platform.

Onslow County, N.C. also enhanced the county’s ability to quickly respond to 9-1-1 callers by deploying Smart911 and the Rave 911 Suite.

“Having background information pop-up on the screen is a real time-saver when seconds count,” said Ray Silance, Onslow County Telecommunications Division Head. “If you have a family member with a medical condition, they might not be able to communicate when there is an emergency, this program could communicate that vital information instantly when the call is made to 9-1-1.”

“We prioritize offering a seamless migration experience for clients,” said Noah Reiter, SVP of Customer Success at Rave. “Our mission is to improve communication between organizations and those they protect. Ensuring agencies like Falmouth, Isabella County and Onslow County are equipped with leading-edge capabilities along with public safety grade infrastructure and support is key to fulfilling that mission.”

Rave improves safety on school, college and corporate campuses nationwide

Rave expanded its critical communication and collaboration market leadership in higher education and K-12 schools, as well as continued growing its footprint with significant wins in healthcare, manufacturing, retail and financial services.

“Webster is always looking for ways to improve the safety of its students, faculty and staff, not only at our home campus, but at all global campuses,” said Rick Gerger, Director of Public Safety and Emergency Management at Webster University. “The Rave Guardian app is a great tool that will enhance safety.”

“E-Alert (powered by Rave) and the Rave Guardian app will offer an integrated system that’s easy to use and that can quickly and efficiently provide our campus with vital information,” said Joe LeMire, Elon University Campus Safety and Police Chief.

As school violence skyrockets across the country, Rave continues to be at the forefront of delivering school safety solutions – from anonymous tip lines to panic button apps and parent notifications. Tazewell County, Va. schools joined over 10,000 K-12 public and private schools across North America in leveraging Rave’s school safety solutions to improve safety for students and staff.

“This is a great resource tool to enhance the safety of all school personnel and students. Tazewell County Public Schools strive to provide a safe environment, and our law enforcement partners have been outstanding in helping to keep our schools secure,” said Dr. Chris Stacy, Superintendent of Tazewell County Public Schools.

Quarter highlighted by launch of enhanced Rave Platform and technology innovation

Rave’s efforts to develop critical communication and collaboration tools resulted in the launch of a unified user experience in the enhanced Rave Platform. Three thousand five hundred customers migrated to the enhanced Rave Platform which centralizes critical response and collaboration functions in a single unified interface to streamline communication, coordination and task management during time-critical incidents.

Rave has also been working closely with the development team at the Worldwide Incident Command Services Corp (WICS), a California-based public benefit non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, to acquire and integrate the WICS’ proven RAVEN Emergency Management Platform capabilities into the Rave Platform. RAVEN is a web-based emergency management application that works with any browser and both Android and iOS smart devices.

“Our solutions incorporate feedback from thousands of responders during real emergency incidents and planned events over the past 14 years,” said Dr. Jack Thorpe, President of the WICS Board of Directors. “We are excited to see RAVEN’s tools and technologies integrated into the Rave Platform. Our partnership with Rave is intended to empower the next evolution of web-based situational awareness and incident management capabilities across all first responder communities.”

Other highlights for the quarter include:

  • Over 164,000 text-from-9-1-1 sessions, resulting in life-saving interactions about domestic violence, kidnapping and other situations where non-verbal communication is necessary, and savings of an estimated $1 million in reduced false dispatches from improved dropped call resolutions
  • Annual Rave Summit highlighting innovations, best practices and achievements in public safety, emergency management and corporate security with 1,000 attendees
  • Launch of Rave’s new channel partner program to further advance the safety ecosystem with a network of communications, safety and security solution providers
