The Sumter County Communications Center’s 9-1-1 team handles around 57,000 calls a year, averaging about 167 calls a day. And with the amount of emergency calls increasing by 10% annually, they needed ways to enhance how their 9-1-1 dispatchers managed incoming calls and communicated with first responders.
The Rave 911 Suite, which integrates with RapidSOS, has helped the 9-1-1 team and first responders strengthen community outreach and improve response times by enabling them to pinpoint the exact location of mobile callers.
The Sumter County Communications Center, located in Central Florida, has also added the Rave Panic Button mobile app to their platform to streamline communication and information sharing with the Sumter County School District when an incident occurs on school grounds.
