Rave Summit FAQs

Why should I and/or representatives from my organization attend the Rave User Summit?

Rave’s annual User Summit is the premier event for Rave customers. Attendees will be exposed to new product features and have an opportunity to provide input into future concepts. Additionally, attendees will have an opportunity to learn and share industry and product best practices formally through customer-led sessions and also informally through networking opportunities and receptions. Finally, attendees can dig deeper into how to leverage their Rave solutions with a product guru through one on one coaching and also attend hands-on training sessions.

When and where is the 2018 Rave User Summit being held?

Rave will be hosting its annual User Summit in downtown Denver, Colorado from Monday, April 16 through Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Attendees should plan to arrive in time for optional product training (for both the Rave 911 Suite and Rave Alert) on Monday afternoon and our welcome reception for all attendees that same evening. The program will conclude by 4:30pm on Wednesday.

Okay, I’m convinced. How to I register for the Summit?

Online registration is available through the Registration section of www.ravesummit.com. Don’t delay…the advanced registration rate of $291 (a $131 discount per attendee) expires on January 31, 2018 and registration closes on March 31, 2018. Click here to secure your spot!

What’s included in Summit registration?

The Summit registration fee includes all programming – training, product sessions, best practices and industry sessions, and access to Rave product gurus’ one on one coaching. Additionally, continental breakfast, lunch and snack breaks will be provided on Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as two evening receptions, including networking, food and drink, on Monday and Tuesday. All attendees will receive a welcome bag and gift and also information from our sponsors, and opportunities to win some really cool raffle and contest prizes.

I’m sold on attending the Summit, but I have to convince my boss / agency / organization. Can you help with that?

We thought you’d never ask…of course we can! In order to assist you with justifying your attendance at the Rave User Summit, we have prepared a template justification letter and anticipated budget that you can modify and provide to your decision makers.

A copy of the attendee justification letter can be downloaded here.

I’m a vegetarian / vegan / require a Gluten free diet / have food allergies. Will there be meal options for me?

During registration, you will have an opportunity to communicate specific dietary needs or other special accommodations that you might require in Denver. Additionally, feel free to drop us an email at summit@ravemobilesafety.com if you have questions or additional needs.

How do I reserve my hotel room and is the discounted rate available for additional nights?

Rave’s room block at the Grand Hyatt Denver, our Summit host facility, is officially open. As soon as you register for the Summit, we encourage you to book your hotel room, as the discounted rate of $274 per night (including tax) is subject to availability. Rave has negotiated this discounted rate for the nights of Friday, April 13, 2018 through Thursday April 19, so that our customers can take advantage of all that Denver and Colorado have to offer. Again, this rate is subject to hotel availability, so don’t delay in booking your room!

Book your room here.

What attire is appropriate for the Summit, and what’s the weather like in Denver in April?

Business casual attire is suggested for the Summit sessions and casual attire is recommended for evening activities. Stay tuned for more information about a “wear your agency/organization’s logo” day and also a theme for our Tuesday night reception. More than anything, we want attendees to be comfortable.

Denver enjoys a moderate climate. The average high temperature is 61° F / 16° C, with the low averaging 34° F / 1° C. Precipitation, even a bit in the form of snow, can also be expected. Be sure to check the weather about a week out and be sure to pack layers so that you are prepared.

Another important consideration is the altitude of the Mile High City. Plan to hydrate extra in the days leading up to your departure and also while you are in Denver. Keep in mind that the altitude will also impact physical activity, your tolerance to alcohol and your overall energy. It is not uncommon to experience a mild headache for the first day at altitude, but drinking plenty of water will go a long way towards helping!

What’s the best way for me to travel between the hotel and Denver International Airport?

The Denver International Airport is 27 miles or 35 – 40 minutes from downtown Denver. We suggest either using a ride share app, such as Lyft or Uber, or using Denver’s new A Line train, which takes about 37 minutes from the airport to a stop near the hotel downtown.

Unless you have plans to explore outside of downtown Denver, it’s not necessary to rent a car.

I’d like to present at the Rave Summit, how do I submit a proposal?

Rave is actively seeking customer thought leaders to share their emergency response, emergency management and security best practices, including how you leverage Rave solutions to achieve your mission and business objectives. There will be two customer presentation formats at the 2018 Summit – an hour-long presentation with Q&A and an hour-long panel discussion featuring multiple speakers.

To submit a proposal to present at the Summit, please click here. The submission deadline is December 15, 2017 at 5:00pm EST.

How can my company become a sponsor?

The Rave User Summit provides our business partners and other public safety technology and services providers several opportunities to participate and share their offerings with Summit attendees. More information about the benefits of participating as a Summit sponsor can be found by clicking on the Sponsors section of www.ravesummit.com. Additionally, a Sponsorship Prospectus can be downloaded here.

Only a limited number of slots are available!

What is Rave’s cancellation policy?

Rave will fully refund your registration fees, based on a written request (email is fine) received no later than March 15, 2018. The Grand Hyatt has a 48 hour cancellation, so please be sure to contact them if you need to cancel your hotel room.

Can a guest or additional attendees accompany me to Summit evening receptions?

Rave welcomes your guest to attend all of our evening events at a total cost of $80 per guest. Please be sure to purchase a Non-Customer Guest ticket for each of your guests when you register.

Whom do I contact for special assistance?

For any questions or special requests, please send an email to summit@ravemobilesafety.com.

I’m not currently a Rave customer, but am interested in attending. Can I?

No problem. Contact summit@ravemobilesafety.com and we will get you taken care of.

What should I know before heading out to Denver / how can I prepare?

The most important thing to do is register now at the lowest Summit rate available, which expires after January 31, 2018.

You will get the most out of the Summit program if you are familiar with the products your organization owns. If you haven’t already attended online training through Rave Academy, we would encourage you to do so prior to the Summit (access training through the Rave Customer Portal). It would also be worthwhile to compile any questions you might have for our Rave product gurus and your colleagues from across the country. You will leave the Summit with tremendous insights on how to get an even greater impact out of your Rave solutions.

Also be sure to book your hotel room and travel early, check the weather a week out and pack appropriately. Given the altitude of Denver, we would suggest drinking extra water in the days leading up to the Summit. You will be much more comfortable on your first day in town if you do, especially if you’ve never been above 5,000 feet!

Is there a limit to how many representatives I can send from my organization?

There is no limit to the number of representatives from your organization who can attend. We already have several organizations who have registered 5 or more attendees! Your staff will all benefit from attending, regardless of whether they serve in a management or front-line capacity.

Will there be product training opportunities?

Based on feedback from the 2017 Summit, we will be offering dedicated product training opportunities on the afternoon of Monday, April 16, beginning at 1:00pm. More information will be available soon, but Rave Alert and Rave 911 Suite training sessions will be made available.

I’m a Charter 50 customer, is there anything special I need to be aware of?

Please drop us a line at summit@ravemobilesafety.com and we will walk you through what you need to know.
