Panic Button and Louisiana

The Louisiana Panic Button alerts authorities to an active shooter, a medical emergency, a fire, or other crisis on school campuses, while simultaneously notifying administrators, teachers, and staff. This reduces the time it takes for staff to implement emergency response and provides 911 dispatch with critical data like incident type, caller location, floor plans, campus contacts, and access information.

Louisiana’s School Safety Act of 2023 (Act 334) requires each city, state, or other local school board to implement the use of the panic emergency notification system or other systems of equal or exceeding capability no later than April 1, 2024. This application/solutions is provided free to all K-12 campuses across the state; public, private, and charter schools.

Please complete the form below to strengthen school safety, security and preparedness efforts. If you have already started building out your Panic Button profile and need help or have a question, please send an email to tech support instead of completing the form.
