Today, Rave announced the acquisition of SwiftReach Networks (SwiftReach), creating the largest and most robust voice-calling capacity in the emergency notification industry. This offers an end-to-end safety suite for K-12 schools across the country and will provide wide-ranging capabilities and unmatched infrastructure to ensure optimal communications when it matters most.
A Look Back Through Rave's History
We recently took a trip back through the 14 years of Rave's history for our 14th anniversary to reminisce on how far we've come. What started in 2004 as a company that leveraged carrier-based location services, has made its way through the higher ed, public safety, k-12 education, and enterprise markets to deliver a variety of emergency notification services. The acquisition of SwiftReach will mark a new milestone in Rave's history and will expand delivery capacity and reliability.
Rave's CEO, Todd Piett, had this to say about this important part of Rave's history:
The addition of SwiftReach and its FCC-licensed carrier class network gives us best-in-class message delivery, which provides customers with unmatched service levels. Rave is most needed by our customers during emergencies and we continue to protect them by leading the way in reliability.
It allows the company to maintain its commitment to excellence and in making sure our customers are successful. This is a common thread for both Rave and SwiftReach with Todd Miller, Rave’s COO, noting: “It’s extremely important that we maintain focus on our customers and their success. The SwiftReach team has demonstrated that commitment for many years, and we look forward to continuing to keep customer success our first priority.”
What's Next for the New Rave
Not only will the acquisition of SwiftReach bring the only emergency and mass notification provider that owns and operates its own telephony network, the new entity will bring a complete K-12 school safety communication solution. SwiftReach’s SwiftK12™ will be a nice addition to Rave's existing school safety offerings. The combined suite of products will enable users to engage parents through emergency alerts, solicit anonymous tips with Rave EyeWitness and improve collaboration with 9-1-1 and emergency services utilizing the Rave Panic Button.
