Beginning Tuesday evening, people of the UK community began receiving e-mails letting them know of the change: After three and a half years operating as an opt-in system, the UK Alert will now be an opt-out system thanks to Rave Alert.
Thanks in part to Smart911 and Rave Guardian, campus crime at USF has been steadily decreasing, according to Lt. Meg Ross, public information officer with the USF Police Department.
Sandy Springs, Georgia will be the first city in the nation to use Smart911's new feature - providing first responders two-way communication with callers via SMS text message.
Rave replaces e2Campus at The Eastern Virginia Medical School. The EVMS Police and Public Safety office will begin offering enhanced services through Rave Mobile Safety that include the EVMS Rave Guardian service.
