Rave Wireless Appoints Brad Steer as Vice President of Sales

Proven software and mobile industry executive to drive expansion of mobile safety and emergency notification business
Framingham, MA - Rave Wireless, Inc., the leading provider of safety applications for mobile users, today announced the appointment of Brad Steer as Vice President of Sales. Steer will be responsible for building and managing the sales team that will drive growth of the company's innovative mobile safety applications and emergency notification business. Steer joins Rave as the company is experiencing strong demand from its growing base of more than 100 college and university clients focused on campus safety, as well as new interest in mobile safety applications from other vertical markets including municipalities and enterprises.
Brad has a proven track record of building, managing and growing world class organizations with success in increasing revenue and sales deployment. Prior to joining Rave, he was the Senior Vice President of Sales at TeleAtlas, the leading digital map provider. While at TeleAtlas, Brad successfully executed sales plans in 2006 and 2007 resulting in 20% and 33% growth annually. He exceeded revenue and cash flow targets in 2007, which contributed to the eventual $4.5 billion acquisition by TomTom in June 2008. Prior to TeleAtlas, Steer had a 10+ year career with Sprint and was most recently a Regional Vice-President in the Business Services Group and was awarded the 2005 President Diamond Award- it's highest honor. Brad has also held senior sales leadership and management positions with high growth, emerging companies such as Vocus and iSky. He also was responsible for establishing the high performing Strategic Sales group at Skytel.
