Through the companies’ partnership, the GPS-enabled Rave Guardian personal safety tool is available to new and existing SNDA customers across 9 states including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.  These customers can now use their mobile phones to instantly connect with and be monitored by licensed security professionals, if and when they feel unsafe.

Rave Guardian works on all cell phones and wireless carriers.  Users sign-up through a quick online process that registers their phone number along with a personal photo, physical description, pertinent health information, emergency contacts and more.  When a user activates Guardian, trained security professionals will instantly be provided this information – along with location information for most major wireless carriers -- to facilitate a rapid, personalized response.

Guardian can be used in “active” mode through a pre-programmed Guardian “panic button” that instantly informs the central station that the individual is threatened or having a medical crisis.  Alternatively, it can also be used in “passive” mode, whereby a user activates the Guardian timer via their cell phone to indicate that the central station should monitor their safe arrival to their destination.
