User Experience/Interaction Design Lead

JOB SUMMARY:
Rave Mobile Safety is the leading provider of software safety solutions. We are seeking a self-motivated, highly creative User Experience and Interaction Design Lead . This person will own the end to end user experience across our SaaS product suite and will report into the Chief Product Officer. You should be passionate about designing and creating intuitive and compelling products.

The position is located in Framingham, MA, and the person will need to work in the office.

Rave Mobile Safety utilizes the E-Verify Employment Eligibility Verification process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Own user experience for SaaS products, from initial UI models, mock up designs, user task and interaction flows, design specifications and style guides through usability testing and development process in order to build a world class user experience
Work across stakeholders to deliver User Experience results that deliver industry leading results
Take business requirements and convert them into functional UI designs that span all device types.
Act as voice of the customer and take active ownership of any issues involving the user experience
Utilize analytics to track and improve user experience
Articulate design rationale as a means to balance business goals and user needs
Employ user centered design practices and principles to create world-class, brand-leading experiences
Balance creative designs with business objectives
Serve as subject matter expert on latest design and web development tools, techniques and methodologies

REQUIRED SKILLS:

5+ years of solid industry experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, user interface designer, or similar role, designing GUI's for websites and web applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate across multiple levels including C-level executives, engineers, and customers
Excellent leadership skills and teamwork skills- people trust and want to work with you.
Must possess a solid working experience with appropriate design tools e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Omnigraffle, etc.
Track record of delivering well designed user interfaces
Solid familiarity and ability to program in HTML, CSS, and javascript
Strong knowledge and experience base using analytics to test and validate designs
Understanding and experience in SaaS model
Understanding of requirements for cross-platform user experience design

DESIRED SKILLS:

Advanced degree in Human Computer Interaction, Interactive Design or other related discipline
Working knowledge of visual design and typography principles
Ability to create personas, profiles, and user scenarios
Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team preferred but not required
Experience in mobile device interface development and the Android and iPhone platforms
